Geophysical Services
Seramur and Associates employ multiple non-invasive methods in our surveys including ground-penetrating radar (GPR), magnetometer, electrical resistivity, and magnetic susceptibility. All our data is georeferenced with sub-meter GPS data.
Historical Sites
Integrating multiple geophysical methods is key to locating and interpreting evidence of historical infrastructure. We are able to image historical roads, building footprints, privies, and activity areas. We have surveyed a variety of historical sites, including colonial farmsteads, Antebellum plantations, and revolutionary war battlefields.

Cemeteries
Our cemetery surveys focus on locating unmarked burials, delineating cemetery boundaries, and producing accurate cemetery maps. Specialized 3D imaging software is used to evaluate the geophysical data and differentiate false positives from unmarked burials. Our staff is experienced in working with developers, congregations, families, and descendants.
Subsurface Investigation
We also offer geophysical services for locating underground storage tanks, landfills, trenches, and commercial and residential utilities including, septic and sewer systems.
Geoarchaeological Services
Seramur & Associates has been providing geomorphology, geoarchaeology, petrology and soil chemistry investigations at archaeology sites for over 25 years. We work on archaeology sites across the U.S.
Archaeology Sites
We utilize the geomorphology and geology of the area surrounding archaeological sites to interpret the environmental history.
